Hi I'm a single parent of 1 looking to relocate to the Atlanta Georgia area with hopes of immersing myself in the entertainment industry. I currently live in San Diego and believe Georgia would be the best option for raising a child over LA and NY. I have family in Georgia that I've recently met but still need guidance on the best Elementary School Districts, Safe Neighborhoods, Job Market/Entertainment Scene, Traffic Conditions, etc.. Any help, tips, or advice you can give would be great.

The maximum amount for rent would be $1200 /mo for a 2bd

Thanks.

Quality of life is key. The entertainment field and positions are on the rise in Atlanta because it's cheaper to film here and there are many talented people able to promote their business and ideas on a shoestring budget. That being said it is a hustle. Do not move here without a job and a plan B. Any job offers you get make sure you get the salary and the position title in writing. (I'm sure you know business 101 on job offers but I have to say it. I've heard of people making the mistake of being offered a position and then the pay wasn't what was negotiated.)
Be prepared to hustle.
For filming or a role in entertainment GA might serve you well. My advice-stay with family and save your money while seeking employment opportunities until you have a guaranteed income. Do not drain your savings for it will go faster than you think. When your career takes off then relocate back to LA and live life in a grand way in middle upper class neighborhood and you will position yourself from good to GREAT! Good luck.

Thanks DaBurgh and hatgirl007 for your advice. I will take that into consideration before relocating.
