would love to see the pillars washed and painted. Maybe if MARTA gets going with the whole murals thing, It would be nice.

Atlanta: A city in the trees, and covered in art!

Being from Chicago, a year or so ago I suggested this would be a good idea for the Lenox and Peachtree Road corridor but no one seemed to be interested.

I've actually practicing some art myself lately and wouldn't mind pitching in.

Other people might hate it, though.

I can only imagine what kind of art that might be
But whatever you make is probably a lot better than any attempts I may have...

Hey man, might as well take it up with the Living Walls peeps or like groups. It may not be my cup of tea, or it might be! That's the great thing about art: It doesn't have to appeal to everyone! If we have enough murals and public pieces around, then there should be something for everyone.

Make a test mural your next project! I would love to see what you come up with.

I think the way to go about murals on public property (GDOT, MARTA, etc) is to stick with patterns and natural scenes. At most, people can just offended by the color choice. I just want to see more colors on all the bland and dirty concrete surfaces around town. It's just wasteful

My first one is a painting of a huge beautiful lawn, with people of all ages, religions and nationalities mowing, edging, dethatching and aerating in harmony with one another.

I know it sounds corny but you've gotta have a dream.
