By being so vehemently anti-Cobb, you are anti-region. So go shame yourself and stop trying to fan the flames here by posting pointless threads.

Good try, J-Dog!

Cobb isn't a person, they aren't as anti-Atlanta as you'd like to believe, and you're really looking for an excuse for all your personal bias'.

I like Cobb. They add a lot to the region. I don't care how many Cobb residents are "anti region". They can't do much about it anyway. It's a freaking county. It's not able to split off. Cobb is such an integral part of metro area that there's no separating the two no matter how badly some want that to happen on both sides. I embrace Cobb for what it adds to the metro area, lot of jobs, a university that's slowly but surely building up its academic standards, and some of the best schools in the state. I don't live there (well, as of now I don't even live in the south) so whatever "terrible Cobb things" are going on don't affect me. May as well just enjoy what Cobb adds to the region and to the state.

Double negative is a positive.

If you are pro-Cobb and support the region, I have no beef with you.

But if you don't support regionalism like most of the Cobb leadership, expect the hate to continue from me and others.

It's ridiculous and pointless to "hate" Cobb. They are a vital component of this larger-than-the-COA region. To say otherwise is intellectually dishonest.

I don't hate everyone in Cobb or the land that happens to fall in their boundaries, I hate the current state of Cobb and their leadership because of the anti-Atlanta and anti-regionalism attitudes. I look forward to the day Cobb stops being a disgrace to the region and starts working with it's neighbors. Nothing intellectually dishonest about hating on something that is so counter to the city and region you support.

Don't think anyone can name anywhere that will have unanimous support as a rival to Atlanta than Cobb. It is more "intellectually dishonest" to be a supporter of your biggest rival.

So I say this: Prove me wrong. I would love to see some real regionalism come from Cobb leadership.

Yep. Dang them for having 3 of the top 10 schools in the entire State! Such a disgrace.

Oh yes, good schools are not what Cobb's reputation is. Their backwards leadership is.

No one was like, oh they have a couple good schools, maybe we should let the olympic torch and events go through their county anyways.

The head of the Cumberland CID ran the Atlanta Regional Commission until recently.

How much regional than that can you get?
