Buckhead is getting denser and more urban by the day.
Quote:
The Atlanta-based multifamily developer has filed permits with the city to raze two existing commercial buildings, including the one above, and a parking deck at 1781 Peachtree St. Concurrent with that permit, Perennial has filed a land disturbance permit to develop a mixed-use project on the site, located where Buckhead borders Midtown, popularly known as SoBu. Details as to what will be involved were not clear in permits, and officials with Perennial did not return calls seeking comment.

OK, so it is a made up term by a developer, just like West Midtown.
Why can't people use correct neighborhood names?

Because people have a tendency to be ignorant. Same goes for Virginia-Highland residents that refer to the place as "The Highlands."

Small development of 18 townhomes and 5 homes, behind Peachtree St, between 28th St and Ardmore. Will create a grid, connecting 28th St and Ardmore.

Quote:
The mix includes 18 townhomes and five freestanding, detached residences in a similar style. Prices begin in the mid-$700,000s.

Expect four-story “lock-and-leave” offerings with features such as monochrome brick exteriors and sky terraces, developers say.

Townhomes will have four bedrooms, while standalone dwellings will also have media rooms and “deluxe master suites.” Elevators are optional.

Rockhaven builds a nice home. There's a big demand for housing in that price range.
