Unfortunately, now I simply drive or take a car service. Too bad...
I take Doravile to the airport all the time and I'm not even sure what you are talking about. This sounds some hyperbolic trash Rush Limbaugh would say.

How come it is such a huge topic of discussion?
(And yes, I'm adding to to it with this thread).
As a B/R ATLien, I'm wondering if it's the migration of people from transit heavy cities (NY/SF)? Then again, in real life I don't hear that many people caping for MARTA like the C/D cult does...

Did y'all ever think 85% of people drive because our policies have made it where only 1 type of transportation is fully funded, while transit has to scrap by? If we funded both transportation networks at the same level, would it encourage more people to use transit?

If you leave valuables visible, there is a good chance your car will get broken into, but that cam happen anywhere. Solution: don't leave stuff lying around your car, practice the clean car campaign.

I think it comes down to the fact that we a getting taxed for a system that most people don't use and that has a long history of being run more like an employment agency than a transit agency.

I personally don't think MARTA brings crime but there are some who do.

And there are always people who stick their head in the sand, deny reality and call people who don't agree uneducated. The articles that have been linked on here show that crime is increased in inner city locations and that the studies are mixed beyond that.

Roads don't get 50-70% subsidies.

Yes, they do.

Gasoline Taxes and Tolls Pay for Only a Third of State & Local Road Spending | Tax Foundation

... Well, it is actually 74.4% subsidy here in GA, so I guess it is even more of a subsidy than you suggest.

Meanwhile your $2.50 MARTA rail fare is covering almost the entire cost of your trip: http://www.itsmarta.com/KPIChart.asp..._per_rail_Pass
