this won't ever happen because incorporating the 5 counties into the city of atlanta would result in multiple solidly democratic and solidly republican city governments agreeing to consolidate into a district where neither party would have a majority control. for political reasons alone, it won't happen.

It would be a bloodbath of the nth degree making the gladiator fights of old look tame.

But in reality it would would force our elected leaders to govern and lead which is a good thing.

This would be awesome, but would never work down here in this environment. Too many little chiefs who would not be willing to let go of their little fiefdoms.
