It's awesome that they shoe transit along Capitol, but it's odd to me that they don't along Georgia. Even if there isn't room for dedicated lanes, there's still planned streetcar along that route. Oh well, love thd work ayway!

I will say that, even if the city doesn't have the money for streetcars when this is all built, transit lanes should be included, and used for BRT Lite / ART until the streetcars can be installed.

Honestly, the infrastructure should be built by the developer when they do roadwork.

Aye, it would be nice. At minimum, something like the redo of 17th street when Atlantic Station went in, with bus lanes and such.

I don't mind the city paying for the streetcars, since they were planned there already and are a part of the larger network, but would love to see some private backing for them. There would be some silliness if the state finally paid for rail transit, via GSU.

GSU could use the funding for the Panther Express and put it towards the Capital Ave transit, since it'll serve the area and students, has a longer operational life, and lower maintenance costs than buses.

Delaying the sale could result in that land sitting unused for 5 years and costing the city millions in maintenance.

Aren't the neighborhood groups there pretty dysfunctional? Usually I'm in favor of NPUs and neighborhood members having a seat at the table, but this is probably one of the few cases where it's better to just let the developer do their thing. The visions they've presented are very well done.

People are going to always be against stuff even if they can't see that it will improve their neighborhood. Can't please everyone
