@ElleKaye .....Waffle House, Walmart, etc do count. You can't buy a water hose in NY at 3:30am
You could at that drug store I went to lol.

I cannot tell you the name of it, but that time I stayed at a hotel behind the Olive Garden across from Times Square. Walk to the end of the block and go left. It will be on the corner at the next cross street. It had two floors and sold everything except pets.

That is why I was specific about where I was, and yes, there definitely was a lot going on at that hour. That time I was staying at a hotel a few blocks from Times Square. I found the noise outside kind of thrilling; it made me want to get up, go out, and get in it. I hadn't heard people sounding like they were having that much fun since I lived in New Orleans.

It is straying a bit but we are talking about livening up Downtown Atlanta and how it might affect locating GE Downtown (if they were to come to the area).

No one knows anything as of yet.

You most certainly can buy a water hose at 3:30 AM in NYC. There is a 24 hour hardware store. NYC's 24 hour activity is mostly a plethora of clubs, cafes, and eateries. NYC is an extreme example but Atlanta could sustain a couple at least. It would be nice to see that Downtown. If Downtown grows residents and the activity they generate, maybe a GE would locate there. Otherwise, it's probably going to continue to go to Midtown, Buckhead, PC, or somewhere else.
P.S. Let's not discuss anymore about NYC and stay on subject.

side note: What will the hours be for that new Walgreen's at Five Points?

Also, don't forget that Seattle lost Boeing to incentives from Chicago.
So basically it's battle of the biggest tax breaks.

I seriously doubt that many GE folks will be interested in buying stuff at 3:00 in the morning.
