My family and I are relocating from upstate NY to Sandy Spring, GA. Does anyone know where I can find a listing of after school babysitters? I've checked out some of the after school programs such as the YMCA, Sunshine House, and Open Arms. However, they are too expensive (over $1000 a month for two children).

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

If your kids are in elementary school have you checked out the after school programs? They have them in Cobb county and they are a bargain.

I have checked out the programs at the school. For two children the cost is between $166 and $200 per week. Is that a good price in Atlanta? In my home town that is about 3 times what I currently pay.

Look on sittercity.com. Also, I've found a bunch of great sitters on Craigslist but you need to screen VERY thoroughly. If you're going to join a church or synagogue, you should post a sign there too on the community boards. This may be something you need to do once you're already here because neighbors always know of people, etc. You may have to pay a bit more in the beginning just for coverage while you're looking.
