Personally, I just look at the carvings as art. Art for a bad reason, but art none the lesser...
However, I'd LOVE to see more art. So, whatever can be added to the art, altering it, or etc... I'm all for. I'd much rather it be a much better symbol than what exist now. I'd like to see a design of the art of the MLK memorial.

I'd say, make it much larger than the current sculpture (making it the largest MLK Memorial around). It SHOULD be... MLK made a far greater positive impact on the world than the 3 chumps (Stonewall, Jackson and that other guy) depicted in the carving... Those 3 made a negative impact on the world.
