In case you aren't a subscriber: Georgia could land a Hunger Games theme park | www.wsbradio.com

I can't find solid info on what a Hunger Games theme park would actually look like. Hopefully, it would be fun.

Hunger Games theme park? Really? Sounds kind of twisted to me. Just my opinion.

Is Hunger Games really a big enough "thing" to warrant it's own theme park? Seriously? I mean, maybe we should have a Lord of the Rings theme park or a The Hangover theme park too? Hunger Games is a moderately successful book and movie series. Maybe warrants a section in Universal Studios, but a stand alone theme park will be a colossal failure and waste of money.

No disagreement here; Hunger Games wasn't that big. Certainly not as big, nor as enduring, as Harry Potter, to which the studio is trying to build a comparison.

BTW, there IS a LotR/Hobbit theme park; some people call it New Zealand

I would love for us to get a couple of theme parks. I mean I don't want to be Orlando, but it would be really cool and great for the economy and a good addition to the convention industry.

but... I'm just not excited about this. I don't think this has the same appeal of Harry Potter. I don't think the appeal will be lasting. It wasn't that epic and the appeal is too much of a niche.
