Just build a MARTA-oriented Atlantic Station sized thing over the Gulch, with the high rise offices and residential, except with a more entertainment and tourism oriented retail. That would integrate with Philips as well as MB stadium, and Five Points.

Or better yet, might as well just build the damn thing along with it, under it. Just plan ahead, even if metro commuter rail doesn't exist yet. It will pay off.

The MARTA airport station was already built and ready to go almost a full decade before the line made it down there and it could open for use. Those were the days when they actually planned.

I'd rather they left room for it, since the MMPT was going to be SO MUCH. It'd have lots of retail / commercial space in the ground levels as well as tons of park space.

That said, as long as the Hawks are paying their due share for the district, I say let's make it happen!

It's stalled in that the City is doing a land trade which the state seems open to. It's still happening, just not as fast as previously thought. It's not dead or anything.

Maybe bring in a hardware store?
