This is actually pretty useful, and I didn't know about it...

To answer OP, that depends on what you wanna do at what price. Besides the list from JMatl: T

here're tons of bars in VaHi, Little 5, Edgewood Auburn, etc. There's Sweetwater Brewery over by Armour.

You have Emory, Ga Tech, Georgia State, etc. all with their own sets of open to the public events and productions.

There're the standard touristy things around Centennial Olymipc Park.

There's the Symphony and the High Museum, and Fernbank Museum. There's the Botanical Gardens and the zoo. There's the Delta museum.

There are tons of urban trails in the city for biking and walking and skating, and plenty of less-urban trails just outside the city for the same. There are nature preserves and skateparks. There are gyms for any sport you can imagine as well as some you didn't know existed.

There's a wide range of movie theaters showing everything from classic cult flicks to student projects to blockbuster Imax shows.

There are countless parks to just relax or play in. There are community pools both indoors and out.

Like any other decent city, there's just about a little of anything you could want.

Your question is too generic - what is fun for an 8 year old, a 28 year old and a 68 year old is all different.

What might be fun for a female vs male could be different

What is fun for someone that has never been to the big city or traveled to many places is different for a world travel

There is also inexpensive fun and expensive fun

Tell us more about you and what you are looking for and where/why you are visiting Atlanta?

No need to overthink the question. I was just asking people to put down anything that comes to mind. I'm not visiting. I've lived here for over 4 years but there might be many places and things I've overlooked. I've been to CNN, Coca-Cola, Aquarium, Piedmont Park, Stone Mountain, Centennial Olympic Park.

See a play. Eat at an eclectic international restaurant on Buford Highway. Take a downtown Sagway tour. Watch the sun rise from the peak of Stone Mountain. Visit the King Memorial. Drive around the beautiful residential neighborhoods of Buckhead. Raft the Hooch.

Just like any city of millions, there are way too many things to list that can be considered as fun, ranging from all kinds of museums in just about every corner of the metro area to every kind of recreation you could possibly imagine. A good start would be the MANY historic sites.

If you're truly just looking for something to do, pick a category and start searching. The internet is your friend and everything can be found there.

Click here TripAdvisor: Read Reviews, Compare Prices & Book

then type "Atlanta" in the search box

then click on "Things to Do" and you will see hundreds of local attractions listed IN ORDER of the most to least popular, with the best ones at the top, and going down. Each attraction has hundreds of reviews, good and bad, by visitors, telling what they think of it.

Eat at Waffle House. Then drive down the street three blocks and eat at that Waffle House.
