Zing! Some people really are not aware of the importance Uber plays in quick and cheap last mile connectivity.

MARTA is doing creative thinking and not trying to emphasize protecting their turf. Very good step.

Depends how often you take Uber. It can get expensive. But this is great thinking from MARTA.

The last few times, I had a 6 dollar minimum. With my long commute I might spend that much a day. Obviously there's wear and tear but still. A coworker lives nearby but had to take uber when his car was in the shop. It does add up.

Life without a car in Atlanta would be optimal close enough to MARTA and a grocery that you could walk to them semi-regularly, but if the weather is bad, Uber is your backup. $17 every time you leave the house adds up!

Because the gist of your solution was to use it in lieu of high-capacity transit, not simply augment the existing system.
