I always thought it was super ugly and inappropriate for the location. I hope they can distribute gardens to smaller areas, maybe right off the beltline and in some underutilized parks.

I like urban gardens. it gives people an ability to connect with the earth and growing things to live. it gives city people an opportunity to realize that cities depend upon the rural for sustenance.


It's sad to see it go but there are alternatives. The city could donate a small part of Old Fourth Ward Park to use. Also, some of the developments can utilize rainwater catchment systems to supply a rooftop garden for the use of the residents. Or they could devote some land that is part of their development to keep a garden. There needs to be a place a little more permanent.
