Not sure the kids would make it a day in a rough and tumble public school. Even one in north Buckhead. Special snowflakes and all.

I graduated from Trinity in 1998 and all of my classmates filtered into Westminster, Lovett, Woodward, Pace, St. Pius, Holy Innocents etc. It was a great school to attend and the teachers and faculty were/are great. I would highly recommend it if the current environment could be related at all back to the 1990s.

Admissions to private schools has become more competitive then it was in the 90s.

I hear fabulous things about Trinity. That said, for some families the security of knowing high school is semi-secure* is important.

* What parents may envision for their child at 5 often isn't what make sense for the child for middle and/or high school. There are too many parents who are throwing good money after bad by leaving a kid at a secondary school that isn't a good fit. (the whole private school for private school sake) I see a lot of benefit in k-5 or k-8 schools in assuring parents have to access the child before hitting the next level.

Very good point.

Gee, I hope so, too. The public schools in north Atlanta are fantastic. Several of our grandchildren have gone there and it's hard to imagine a much better experience. And I say that as one who's had them in private schools as well.

What are the thoughts on North Atlanta High school? Gifted kids, what is their tract? How many are in each class? How often are the classes for gifted students offered? Are those classes exclusively for gifted kids? Thanks!
