First and foremost how's everyone doing? I have a question and a couple concerns. I am in the process of moving however my bags are still packed and at the door because I can't decide if I want to move to Atlanta,Miami area,Orlando,or Savannah. I love ATL the most honestly. However, it's the gay scene that is deterring me away. It seems like the men there are very bold and don't care whom you're with they will try you up no matter what. With that said I have no problem with gay people because I am gay myself but just not "OUT" like that. I am totally opposite of the typical, stereotypical gay guy. I am way more comfortable being around straight people than a crowd of gay men. I am in a relationship and it's something my dude and I discuss daily how we definitely don't want to be around so many gay people if we move to Atlanta because of their messiness and crazy sexual desires and so on and so on.I understand I may offend some people. Three words Suck it up. It's my opinion. Don't be so caught up in your feelings. Are we over exaggerating on Atlanta? In addition to that we are not totally ruling out living amongst gay people just the ones who are promiscuous, have feministic characteristics, and can't live a life where it's drama free

I'm a life long resident of Atlanta and gay as well. My husband and I have not experienced what you're speaking of but we aren't hanging out at bars and clubs. We are both professionals and active in many facets of our community. Most of the organizations we are involved with are open to everyone and we have not experienced what you mention in gay organizations either.

Don't judge all of us in Atlanta based on the people you meet at bars. Be active in your neighborhood and professional realm and you will love Atlanta.

The stereotypes are definitely true to some extent, especially in gay bars/clubs. I've heard the craziest stories from my friends' nights out that I dare not repeat
But if you're already hubbied up and going to regular bars rather than the gay bars, I don't see why you'd have a problem here. You might encounter a group of dude divas at Lenox Mall on the weekend (true story! a group of gay dudes in Uggs were screaming "Shopping divas!!!" on the escalator. they might've had too many mimosa at brunch) but I don't foresee many major issues for you in terms of unwanted flirting/drama/etc.
Based on your concerns, I don't see Miami being much better!

I don't think Atlanta is for you.

This must be a troll. No sane person would validate their opinion of a move based on a bad experience with a couple of sleeze bags at a bar.

I agree, this question is stupid.

It can't be legit.
