That's disgusting. I'm done with you.

My original comment stands -- I would never trust someone who thinks women being raped is less troubling than a man having to endure a student conduct review board.

How many actual sexual assaults occur on campus? Why doesn't this politician have anything to say about them? Why isn't he doing his job as a legislator to provide more resources to prevent sexual assault?

Because he's a Republican politician in an election year, and standing up for the rare example of a fine, upstanding, white boy who's done nothing wrong, against a supposedly-liberal college administration, will play well with his lily-white conservative electorate.
You hit the nail right on the head. Ehrhart represents a pretty conservative district on the far west edge of Cobb County and is most likely trying to avoid a challenge from his hard right flank in an election year when the conservative base of the GOP is extremely energized, agitated and volatile.

Chances are that Ehrhart may ease back off of some of the rhetoric if he can get through the end of the legislative qualifying period without drawing a challenger. The qualifying period for Georgia General Assembly primary contests began on Monday and ends this Friday (March 11).

Qualifying for 2016 state and federal elections opened Monday at the Georgia Capitol, with few surprises in the early hours.

All 236 seats in the General Assembly, 14 in the U.S. House and one U.S. Senate seat and one spot on the state Public Service Commission are up for grabs, first in May party primaries and then in November’s general election.

The line for Republicans was quite long while Democrats had steady traffic. The two parties register candidates on opposite sides of the south wing of the Gold Dome.

The AJC investigation anything is laughable and suspicious in the first place, but Tech missing out on 50 million dollars is absurd considering its alumni giving.

Or you could use Occam's Razor.

He is offended that Georgia Tech doesn't use due process, violates people's rights and ends up losing lawsuits because of it. There was also the suspension of the fraternity for racist comments when the description said it was guys making comments out of a window when the windows didn't open. GT ended up having to reverse the suspension because they couldn't show the fraternity was supporting it (as opposed to just a couple of members), but the evidence was that the particular fraternity wasn't involved at all. The claimant was confused about where the taunts came from or made them up entirely. And again, the fraternity wasn't allowed due process.

GT has already terminated the person in charge of the suspension of the students accused of rape.

This website's terms of service prevent me what I really want to say to you about your pro-rape beliefs right now.

Ahhhh, so a butthurt, right-wing UGA grad wants to try to keep his seat by defending the good old boys' network and by trying to throw one of the finest research institutions under the bus. This makes more sense now.

(No disrepect intended to UGA grads in general--I believe that many of them are not like this.)

Just in case it's not clear, or some of you are not following along closely enough:

Rape = a temporary loss of control over men.

So, any man who has not raped a woman is a victim of control and manipulation by women.

Got it?
