The Standard-Midtown Atlanta by brandon walker, on Flickr
It's truly amazing to witness the transformation that is happening in Midtown. Spring St in particular, has really undergone a makeover in the last few years and this project will certainly add to it.

Landmark Properties and Selig Enterprises are planning the mixed-use project on a 1.7-acre site along Spring Street, between 3rd and 4th streets.

Awesome, the density is much needed and shows that we can add quality development/density without needing tall towers.

I can't find a map in that linked article that specifically references which side of Spring St. this will be built on between 3rd & 4th but I think that it would be the west side of that street.
On the east side of Spring there is a huge parking deck & on the west side there are a series of small one story buildings between 3rd & 4th including a couple of bars & the new Starbucks location that recently replaced the old Arby's restaurant.
Do y'all think that my assumption is correct?
Hopefully the cracked & broken sidewalks found on much of that block will be replaced when the tower is built.

The rendering shows it being on the west side fronting the Connector.

And for that woefully empty lot that houses the small catholic high school & the huge parking lots directly across the street to the west of the AT&T tower on West peachtree to be redeveloped & filled in.
That vast, empty & barren expanse is a sad reminder of the old days of Midtown.

As part of all developments in an overlay zone in Atlanta, the builder must upgrade the sidewalk, add decorative posts and street trees.
