He probably doesn't want to get killed by all those cars that keep flying off the I-20 off-ramp.

I live in that area too, and sometimes when I go to EAV I choose not to use Bill Kennedy because the Glenwood and Moreland offset intersection can be such a nuisance.

I live a block from Moreland, so usually driving over to Glenwood is kind of out of the way. Sometimes I do use BK to cross when Moreland is an exceptional clusterf-ck.
