a few that come to mind...
Concourse Club (Perimeter Mall Area)
Windy Hill Club (I actually think it's called something else now but it's on Windy Hill off 75)
Vinings Club (in Vinings)
As you can see these aren't all in the same place. You should choose close to where you will be living...otherwise you'll drive 45 minutes to the gym...
LA Fitness has many locations but I wouldn't call it upscale, just nice enough. Crunch has two locations but I doubt they're any nicer than LA Fitness.
Lifetime Fitness is new gym with 3 locations in northern burbs.
Life Time Fitness (Sugarloaf Pky, Alpharetta and John's Creek) is the newest and GREATEST Clubs to open in North Atlanta, hands down blows away LA Fitness. Around $60 per month with no contract.
I'm a member at Lifetime Fitness in Alpharetta. Definitely an upscale, huge, amazing health club. Open 24 hours and never a wait even during peak hours. But prices are expensive for Atlanta area gyms.
I recently relocated to ATL from NYC and certainly miss my Equinox membership. I have yet to find anything that really compares May have to settle for Jeannie's Body Tech...until Equinox arrives in Buckhead. I hear they are considering coming here...YAY!
