Reality is, people like you and Liberty Media are terrified of the city getting another team and outshining the Braves. Let's just see how the Braves are doing after 10 years in Cobb.
The Braves are located in the US not Butthurtmenistan. MLB teams have territorial rights recently upheld in a federal appeals court. Minor league teams have territorial rights too. No one at Liberty Media, or any rational person for that matter, has ever contemplated your delusions let alone worried about them.

This. Without delving into the "butthurt" factor, the point is that there is no way the Braves, their present or future ownership, or MLB will ever allow another team (MLB or MiLB) outside of the Braves organizational structure anywhere within their territorial rights, and certainly not only 12 miles from SunTrust Park.

Of course. The Braves know if they let another baseball team locate into the city they will lose out. Heck, a AAA team in the city would probably see higher attendance than the Braves some years. They will do everything they can to stop it.

It's not just the Braves, no MLB team would ever willingly cannibalize potential revenue.

Of course they won't be willing. Who said they would?

Let's just check in on the Cobb Braves in a decade or two and see how things are going, shall we?
