The organic grocer on Wednesday confirmed the new location, which is the first metro Atlanta 365 store that’s been announced. There are now 19 leases signed across the country.
Whole Foods Market is bringing its lower-priced 365 stores to metro Atlanta. The first location has been announced for Decatur.

In March, Atlanta Business Chronicle reported Whole Foods was actively scouting three metro Atlanta sites for its 365 concept.
The 365 store, designed to be a “smaller-store concept where value meets quality,” would compete with grocers such as Sprouts, Earth Fare and Trader Joe’s. The stores would feature less options per product, and focus heavily on Whole Food’s lower-cost 365 Everyday Value brand. They would also offer less services than typical Whole Foods formats, such as an in-store butcher. But, there would still be grab-and-go options, such as the hot bar.
Three 365 stores will open in 2016: the first on May 25, in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, Calif.; the second on July 14, in Lake Oswego, Ore.; and the third, this fall in Bellevue, Wash. As many as 10 additional 365 stores are expected to open in 2017.
The new Decatur store marks more growth for the largest expansion of grocery stores in metro Atlanta since the 1990s. Dozens of new stores, from Whole Foods, Kroger, The Fresh Market, Sprouts Farmers Market and Earth Fare are opening or in planning.

That sounds like a good concept. The prices in Whole Foods are on the outrageous side.

Developer to Discuss North Decatur Square Project - Curbed Atlanta
Way too much surface parking for this development. Shocked the apartment complex isn't a garage wrapped by units.

Yeah, that's a TON of parking. Holy crud. Right on the (future) Clifton Corridor, too. Maybe they have plans to fill in if transit gets better?

Agreed. 450 parking spaces is ridiculous! They could easily lop off 150 and still have plenty of parking.

Compare this to their store on West Paces. Granted, the WPF center is 23% smaller but they do fine with about 175 spaces.

Where was the city of Decatur planning department on this? I can't believe they let themselves get run over this way.

This is outside the city limits.
