Couldn't Agree with you more Atlwarrior. This Transportation Tax was the best thing on the ballot. Hoping this will be a start of Big and Bold things to transpire in the Transit Arena for the City of Atlanta. Would be great to see an extensive HRT/Subway plan and LRT come into reality. The best part about this Tax is, I honestly think its going to encourage high level density within the City of Atlanta. That's if they build it out the right way. Would have been great to see DeKalb apart of this/ portions not COA that is. That would have been a nice build out.

Wow, I should be having a lot more fun right now. This is an absolutely historic moment for the city we love so much. We actually have additional funding for new transit! The seemingly impossible has happened! Like so much of last night, it feels surreal. I want to bury my head in this and forget about the world around me.

The costs associated with your plan are not known, nor do we have a solid way to accurately estimate them. Furthermore, the planned projects, including the bus expansions, have the advantage of professional studies behind them. Your plan, however, is mostly a 'well wouldn't it be nice if...' which is fine, but should not take place over actually studied set ups.
None of this matters when the economy craters under President Hit-er Trump

So like:
Green Line (Heavy Rail)
Blue Line (Heavy Rail)
Red Line (Heavy Rail)
Gold Line (Heavy Rail)

Peach Line A (Commuter rail to Lovejoy)
Peach Line F (Commuter rail to Sandy Plains Rd)

Line A - AUC / Edgewood (Streetcar / Light Rail)
Line B - Midtown Crosstown (Streetcar / Light Rail)
Line C - Crescent Crosstown (Streetcar / Light Rail)
Line G - Westside (Bus Rapid Transit)
Line H - Clifton (Light Rail)

Route 110 - The Peach (Arterial Rapid Transit)

Etc.
I think MARTA should lose the "route 110" and call it "The Peach" especially if they are going to extend it to Brookhaven station. It can be Atlanta's signature route like "The Deuce" in Las Vegas.

So, we voted for the country to be led by a whackjob but that's okay because we raised a MARTA tax. Great.

I'm sure that's how they see it, cq.

Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall when they all go back to the Laughing Room?

By the time this thing comes around again -- if it ever does -- that old coot will be long gone.

Now somebody pour me another glass and pass me one of them ci-gars."

Well when there are two whackjobs running, at least we picked the one who isn't under criminal investigation. Maybe it will save Atlanta on kickbacks to the Clinton Foundation in order to get projects rolling.
