My fiancé and I currently live in Lawrenceville. We have been in Georgia for only and year now and are looking to move again. I live Gwinnett County but I work in East Point and he works in Norcross. The commute to work for him is just fine but the traffic on 85 is killing me. I NEED to move closer to my job but I don't want him to be too far away from his either. Where are some affordable area maybe half way, or closer towards East Point?

We are looking to rent preferably around $900 but definitely less than $1200. We do not have any children so right now school districts does not play a factor. I would prefer a two bedroom but we can do a SPACIOUS one bedroom if need be. We are open to houses, condos, town homes or apartments.

You're in between a rock and a hard place.

How far is your job from East Point Marta Station?

Can you change your hours so that you can come to work earlier so you can get off 85 to 285 b4 85 gets backed up?

Try moving to the Tucker/Northlake area to split the commute up

Going 85 south past 285 is what you are doing wrong. When you get to 285 go east instead of taking 85 south. Once you get on 285 you will have a reverse commute your entire drive. Its also a reverse commute when you come home if you go the same way.

That's what I was about to say. I live between Lville and Snellville and going to the airport we always take 78 to 285 around the southside. Not nearly as much traffic. East Point would be a little more out of the way but makes up for it.

I think one person is going to have to give something up for the team and it sounds iike it's going to have to be him.

It won't be a cake walk, but it'll be easier for him to commute from East Point to Norcross. I really think there is a midpoint location in the price range. In my opinion, it would be better make one person completely close and get a whole lot more house for your money.
