Initiatives - Cumberland Community Improvement District

I have said repeatedly Cumberland are the people who wants Transits, and wants urban growth. The Stadium is for helping for urban growth. It's the even further to the right conservative who are against it. Your bug it's not "the leadership" Your against the progressive part of Cobb.

Your against this because in general you don't like the Braves are going to Cobb.
I don't think the concern is whether SunTrust Park will spur new development. It already has.

I think the concern was the process, and to a lesser extent, the particular location of the new development.

I can't imagine even someone who supports the Braves moving to Cobb supports Tim Lee, unless your the type who wants the Braves at any cost. Tim Lee got had by Liberty Media, fell for the IT HAS TO HAPPEN NOW!!! salesmanship and signed away taxpayer money with reckless haste. Tim Lee is sucker and fell for the lure of an MLB team.

In the end, the only winners in this will be the Braves/Liberty Media. Voting out Tim Lee is a healthy exercise of democracy. He made a huge mistake, it's time to pay.

Exactly Liberty Media immediately went on a fire sales of the remaining good players under the guise of rebuilding. The Braves owner cares nothing about this city or winning. I wouldn't be surprise if the Braves be under new ownership soon. Thanks Tim Lee and Liberty Media.

That particle area is for a reason

Cumberland new home of the Atlanta Braves Suntrust Ball Park

Again Edge cities need to into fill this a major project that help that process.

I care less about were the braves are going especially this season, I care less about Tim, I support that area for more necessary urban development.

Yes edge cities are important live/work/play centers for the region, but having reliable transit connection is key. Cumberland generates a lot of tax money for Cobb County that in turn helps to keep the property taxes low. The CID needs to pressure the county leaders to build a transit connection to the region's transit system, not just within their own county.

Yes. Voters are unlikely to reject this year's vote on transit infrastructure.

I'm surprised Mike Boyce decided not to show up for the Atlanta Press Club debate with Tim Lee, which was televised on PBS this morning. What was that guy thinking? He missed an opportunity to make his case for the job and for voters to get to know him a bit.

His excuse is that traveling all the way to downtown Atlanta would have taken away time from his door-to-door campaigning. Seriously? I'm pretty sure that taking part in the debate would have enabled him to reach a bigger audience to get his message out than going door to door to talk to voters.

There was an empty chair placed next to Tim Lee where Boyce should have been. Not good optics, as they say, and Lee was able to capitalize on the situation by basically mocking him for not showing up and suggesting that he isn't a serious candidate.

Seems like a big blunder to me & it won't help his chances of winning the run-off election July 26.

He's running on one thing, not being Tim Lee. Seems like a good guy but I have yet to hear any proactive ideas.
