Eastside's Trolley Line Trail could score money for extension via TSPLOST - Curbed Atlanta

That looks nice! Seems like it would be great for Kirkwood.

Yeah, I am super jazzed about this plan, which would bring a new multi-use connection to the Beltline less than a block from my house. I'm still a little bit concerned about the Beltline's transit plan for Reynoldstown, but this will give me a great connection to the Beltline trail when it's built. Right now the most pedestrian-friendly option is walking down the middle of Kirkwood Avenue.

Makes total sense and a big win for all those neighborhoods.

There is no transit plan for the BeltLine corridor thru Reynoldstown, which makes sense because Krog St Tunnel is too expensive to retrofit, a new tunnel costs even more, and Memorial Dr has higher density and more vacant land for dense development.

I know it is off topic, but in response to cq, I am still concerned how much utility they are taking out of Beltline transit by having it cross over the tracks at King Memorial. If you live along the Southeast Beltline, getting to places many would want to go (eastside beltline/piedmont park) becomes extremely indirect. Choice riders like myself would likely just opt to drive or take uber.

But I do like the development potential for Memorial. I wish they could do both

They have no other cost-effective approach to cross the tracks. They are using existing infrastructure and will be able to serve a high density corridor (that may include transit-only lanes?)

Oh, I know. However, something could be said for using money for the pointless MLK MARTA station for something useful like this. I just think the current routing is a going to be a significant downside to the utility of Beltline Transit for citizens south of Memorial.
