But I will say that at least we don't have dead children in coffins and tyrannic overlords in gas masks with huge swords like they do in the Denver airport...

ATLTJL that is someone's child you are calling a goblin- they were probably pretty proud about it! Now if they can only replace the weird ants walking on the ceiling in baggage claim also. Never got that? And holy cow are the murals disturbing at the denver airport!
The little black girl with her hands stretched is the center piece...

She has a towel covering practically her whole body so isn't half naked. I always thought she was cute and welcoming.

But the mural is 20 years old now. I think it is too bad to not have it replaced by another mural as there are enough advertisements telling everyone to buy everything all over the place and that is a good spot for some art.

I agree with you on the ants. I never understood why they would want to put giant ants all over the place. They made me think that the airport must have an insect problem lol.

I used to work part time at the airport about 15 years ago for a 11pm-3am shift and I remember when those ants appeared and they freaked me out when I first saw them.

That thing looked like it belonged in 1980's Disney World. Good riddance.

The ATL mural was an exact depiction of what you'll see at Centennial Park on a summer day. The "goblin" could easily be my son! I don't understand how so many people were bothered by the mural.

I love that mural - It means that I'm home! I will gladly look at smiling, joyful kids versus an ad for anything!

I wonder what those little kids are doing now? They would be adults by now. Do they fly in and out of Atlanta and get greeted by their younger selves? What an odd experience that would be!

I think the mural served its purpose. I'm excited Hartsfield continues to innovate and improve.
