At this hour a social-media led protest has taken Atlanta by storm, the demonstrators of this protest going as far to begin obstructing 1-85.

Documentation of that can be found in this news report:

If you're more worried about people obstructing traffic than police murdering innocent people, dunno what else to say to you, bud!

Better video.

Magnetar, we do not know if Sterling or Casile were innocent. All we know is what we see in the video, we need to wait for the facts.

Infact, in the case of Sterling we just learned from a homeless man that Sterling flashed his gun at him and told him to "go away" when the man approached him in the convenient store. These stories are still developing and it is incredibly premature for us to say anyone is innocent or guilty, let the system determine that.

So....it's like Freaknik, but with a social message!

I guess I'd be pretty upset if I was stuck on the connector trying to get somewhere, but I think it's important to let people have a voice and be heard in this.

What's more upsetting to me is why the officer in the video is shoving people around for no good reason.

I hope it doesn't turn into what's happening at the Dallas protests right now.

Exactly! For most people, it's an inconvenience (the traffic). But for so many people out there, this is life itself. Good night.

I am not surprised by this. When you give a certain group power that goes unchallenged, they think they can do whatever and get away with it (because they do). It's like extremely rich wealthy people and all the fu**ed up sh** they do. You wonder why and then the answer comes, "Because they can do whatever they feel knowing that they will get away with it."

This whole situation is complicated.

It's ridiculous to assume or conclude that a black man maybe moving his arm down = he is reaching for a weapon (that he intends to shoot you with), and shoot him to death based on that total assumption. That's not self-defense, that's utterly ridiculous. Police are simply not doing their job right. And there's a racial subconscious prejudice that is totally unfair to the black individual, that we all need to think more about.

That said, whoever sniped the police officers in Dallas, that guy is a straight immoral thug. You are scum.

But I don't think we should get too emotional, I think we should try to all look at this more rationally.

I do not blame the peaceful protesters at all, and I am glad they are out doing their thing, even if it's blocking traffic. So what. They're trying to bring attention to this very important issue, and that is ultimately going to help bring about positive change in police conduct. There have already been some small successes.

But dammit, keep it peaceful out there. Murdering cops is atrocious.
