I get the impression that the OP was not so much that she wanted to make sure black people were around, but there were at least other cultures or at a minimum races. I am sure she'll circle back to clarify it at some point.

I live in Lilburn (Gwinnett Co). Very diverse and some of the best public schools in the country. We are about 15-20 miles outside the perimeter, near Stone Mountiain.. North East of Atlanta.

There are plenty of options in metro Atlanta because Atlanta has one of the largest African American populations in the country. The least diverse areas for African Americans tend to be the North Metro suburbs. The south metro suburbs tend to have larger African American populations as does closer in East (Dekalb/ Rockdale) and West Suburbs (South Cobb/ Douglas County). Gwinnett has a mix of everything.

Here's a list of some diverse suburbs:

Gwinnett (NE): Suwanee, Lilburn, Duluth, Buford, Snellville, & Lawrenceville
Douglas County (West)-Douglasville
Henry County (South)-McDonough & Stockbridge
North Fayette County (South)- north side of Fayetteville
Cobb (West)-McEachern / Hillgrove districts, Smyrna, & Mableton
Rockdale County (East)-Conyers

Some of the Best Diverse High Schools are:
Chamblee
Wheeler
Brookwood
Parkview
Collins Hill
Union Grove
Sandy Creek
Fayette County
Hillgrove
McEachern

I'm not too familiar with the northside, but I'm sure the only diverse schools on that list are Sandy Creek, Fayette County, and McEachern. The rest seem pretty white.

Parkview and Brookwood both now have a white plurality. Parkview at just 37%, Bwood at 45%. 10+ years ago I know Bwood was in the 60s. 50s when I was there several years ago.
Don't know about the others
