Im saving for an apartment, and hope to be on my own sometime next year. Can I find anythibg affordable and safe in these areas? Im shooting for a 1bd 1br for around $800-900

In North Springs you can, or maybe over on the Doraville side of Dunwoody. But probably nothing in that range near Perimeter Center.

Maybe parts of Smyrna. Especially older apartments.

Would you consider Norcross? Holcomb Bridge or Jimmy Carter Blvd area. Much cheaper rent than Dunwoody, and not too unsafe.
