I have read some posts on joining a pool, but can't seem to find info on pools in Smyrna. We just moved from Chicago to Smyrna and I'm interested in joining a pool - not for competitive use. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old and I would love to find a pool to join this summer for recreational use. I've heard that you can join a swim/tennis community even if you don't live in that subdivision, but I'm not sure if that is true. If it is true, does anyone have any suggestions for which ones are great for kids. Thanks for the input. I could really use it

That's a good question. Just had someone else ask me the same question. Aside from neighborhoods, you can join the West Smyrna Swim & Tennis Club off of North Cooper Lake Road, there is also the community pool at Tolleson Park off of King Springs Road and for lessons there's Sarah's School of Fish off of Concord Road.

There are many parks with public pools in Smyrna, and those pools are free for use for Smyrna residents. A lot of the neighborhoods with associations also have pools and you can probably find their association info on Smyrna Vinings neighborhoods. The Vinings Club also has a pool (The Vinings Club Swimming Pool Information) and it has a non-chlorine cleaning system which doesn't irritate the eyes like chlorine. There's a few excercise gyms in the Smyrna area (one off Windy Ridge or thereabouts and a Bally's off Cobb Parkway) and I imagine at least one of them has a pool.

There is no YMCA in Smyrna, but there is one in Buckhead & also in East Cobb. The best pool in Smyrna is Lake Laurel. You can do a family membership that includes pool, playground & access to the neighborhood lake & clubhouse. It is around $600 per year. Tolleson pool off King Springs rd. is great for swim lessons & they also have a kiddie area with mushroom. Welcome to Smyrna-you will love it!

There is also an enclosed pool off of Macland road, might be in Paulding county.

There is a YWCA in Marietta, just off the square. I think they still have an enclosed pool there.
