This was terrible for Smyrna which is not conservative East Cobb.

Most of development at Cumberland would come anyway. The ballpark is not needed.

Oh, sure, there would be no indoor skydiving. Oh well.

I'm undecided on whether or not I will see a baseball game at the new Suntrust Park. However, I do agree that the Cumberland area would do fine without Suntrust Park. That is an active area. The mall is up there, Barnes and Noble, a variety of restaurants, hotels, and it's close to Atlanta proper. You can see the Buckhead skyline from there. Chattahoochee recreation area is near. Cumberland doesn't need a new ballpark. It just needed to keep doing what it does.
