Every morning I drive a carpool on 75S to 85N. Traveling in the HOV lane on 75S, the HOV lane continues to the left when the regular lanes exit to 85N on the left. However, at that point there are solid white lines so that travelers in the 75S HOV lane cannot merge right and exit to 85N. If I continue in the 75S HOV lane, do I have my own opportunity to take 85N? How do I get from 75S to 85N in the HOV lane? Thank you!

Not without merging thru general purpose traffic for a quick minute. You will have to take the general purpose exit to 85 northbound, then as soon as you do that loop turn, you have to cut over across all those lanes of 85 to the HOV lane, which is a broken line entrance/exit through there.

That is what I was afraid of. I was hoping to stay on the left so as not to get stuck in 400N traffic. . .
Thanks for your input.

If you are going all the way up 85, then depending on the time of morning, Buford Highway gets you around the 400 backup and then dumps you back on to 85 a little further north. This is what I used to do every day. Coming up the 85 on ramp, you stay in the right lane and hop off onto Buford/Spring Connector at Exit 86. Depending on the time of day, however, Buford can be just as slow.

Poor you.

Anyway, yeah it would be illegal to cross the solid line (doesn't mean people don't do it, but they'll get nailed eventually). Either you gotta get onto general highway when the line is dotted, or you can get off on the HOV at Howell Mill and then cut across Deering Rd to I-85 (but I think this will be slower)

HOV exit is at Northside. Also, I would not recommend doing that as it is much slower.
