That is being taken care of from the budget surplus Keith Parker has generated and other grants MARTA has received.

If you are concerned with transportation safety we need to start talk about what roads we are going to close down for safety reasons. There are a lot of deaths happening on roads out there and almost none on transit.

Time to start trolling in another thread.

That is a valid point. Public transit may not be speedy but it is certainly very safe.

That surplus is over $250M at the end of FY 2016.

Afterall, MARTA's been replacing tunnel ventilation, train control systems, and has ongoing track maintenance.

A lot of that was not financially possible at the time of the 2012 TSPLOST. Through an improved economy and the financial action of Kieth Parker, MARTA has been addressing it's backlog as best it can.

Lets use correct financial terms and accurately reflect the financial position.

MARTA had a $10 million surplus in FY2016. It is carrying over $217 Million in funds.

That is much different than what you stated.

We need one permanent MARTA catch-all thread.

It would be the best, and busiest thread.

If you can't get it right at your flagship station it doesn't really set the tone for the rest of the network.

Wifi, new signage etc....absolutely the way forward. Well done again Keith Parker.
Indeed. Those digital signs need to stop malfunctioning already. Hopefully this newer set will be far less glitchy.

It seems like there is another MARTA thread every day and sometimes more than one.

I don't get it.

Maybe I'll just go start another MARTA thread.
