OK, so go ahead and offer me some cheese for my whine...but WTF is the city's problem with paving roads? Lenox Road between Peachtree and Buford Hwy. have been jacked up forever. It's absolutely ridiculous!!! Heck, I just got my tires balanced, and I dread going through there. I used to think they saved all the potholes for S. Fulton -- Old National Hwy and such places. But right now, ONH beats Lenox any day. No tellin' how many parts I lost on my car this afternoon...hmphf! Any of you live in Buckhead and have to suffer this every day?

Yeah kind of blows my mind that one of the richest areas of the city has some of the worst roads. One of Kasim Reeds goals was to get a lot of the buckhead roads paved, not sure how far he got with that....

Many of the thoroughfares in the city itself are state roads so are the responsibility of the state and not the city to fix. I was involved in numerous transportation committees in Atlanta and ran into this numerous times. It was ridiculous especially because both the city and state representatives (I am one of those people who will bother someone to death to get something done lol) would both try to tell me that the other entity was responsible. I'm thinking that may be the case on Lenox Road, which I know is SR 141. Some parts of the state routes are also federally controlled. So it would require some research and contacting of public officials to see if that section is slated for improvement.

The portion that OP mentioned (Peachtree to Buford) is a city street.

Jeeze, that area was "in progress" as far as thirty years ago, as I recall.
