Hello,
I just got a job in East Cobb and I'm looking for modestly priced homes, 150K or so. I've seen alot in Smyrna and South Marietta. I'm a single woman who needs to be able to walk her dog outside regularly. Any good neighborhood reccommendations?

Get a condo in Vinings. That's what I did, and I had the same price range. Nice area all around, and would be near your work.

As far as houses... I don't know if I would even bother, at that price range. You'll find stuff on the market, but it won't be in the best areas.

Smyrna is a great area for that price point. It's a nice area and great location. The Vinings are great, too.

I'm currently in a condo but got hit with the recession and finally have enough equity to get out 8 years later. I don't want to get stuck in another condo where my value could tank so easily.

I have noticed that houses in my range are few and far between, definitely. I guess I just worry about how condos depreciate much more quickly than houses, like how mine dropped by half.

I've noticed some areas of smyrna have houses at my point but they are sort of little green low crime surrounded by higher crime areas. Where in Smyrna do you suggest looking?
