As far as the branding, the main thing I care about is the unity. That's part of the whole point of this. Everything should look the same in all counties, no matter if it's MARTA-operated transit or not. The buses should all have the same branding and colors, and the bus stop signs should definitely all be identical in the ATL (except any info/displaying which routes are served).

Just simply slapping an ATL logo on the window of the various brands and operators we have now and calling it a day, will not suffice. That defeats the purpose of all this.

With that said, there's nothing wrong with a MARTA logo on the bus as well, less prominently displayed. Maybe a bit smaller and in the corner or something. And if CobbLinc still exists, that's where that would go as well, and that's where the Xpress logo would go, for their buses.

Although I think that even if there's a half of Cobb that does not join MARTA, that if that half has any transit, it should be provided by MARTA as the contract operator of it (via the existing transit property tax or whatever.) I really don't think there should be a CCT. But I guess we'll see what happens.

The bill also specifically ties the special district to MARTA, so that's the path to MARTA in Cobb.

I am just hoping and I mean really hoping a commuter rail or atleast heavy rail expansion will come out of this.

I'm equally open to a regional spider-web network of quality BRT lines as well. (Not just a bus in an HOV lane.)

Good point.

Forsyth should be in the ARC. Coweta probably should be since it borders Fulton and includes parts of Palmetto which is mostly in Fulton.

Not sure Paulding should be in either.

Be careful of that BRT-Creep or it'l just turn into Express buses in HOT lanes, with no in-lane stations or dedicated ramps, and fight traffic to exit

I really think Cumberland/Galleria should be part of the HRT network. The Blue line should extend into Cobb County a short ways, certainly to 6 Flags. The rest of the county would probably be better served with BRT or express buses in HOT/HOV lanes, along with some local bus service connecting parts of Cobb.

And those work perfectly well in places that do it right.

Forsyth is already part of ARC via the Atlanta MPO.
