Right. I'm more so excluding it because it's been in the works and I've been expecting it to happen.

Behold ATL new logo

How uninspiring. Did they just hire some company from outside Atlanta to design this?

Maybe we should take the logo as a sign that we'll get 4 new commuter rail lines Center is Five Points, Middle Star is ITB, red star is perimeter/285/existing MARTA rail, and White A's/arrows are the new lines. Obviously a bit ambitious from a logo rendering, but why not dream big

I am not sure if they hired a company from outside Atlanta but the explanation is a stretch

I don't love it or hate it, I definitely like MARTA logo/colors a lot better.

But whatever, that's not what's most important. I still want everything replaced with this, so we can finally have one ATL transit system across the whole region.

If they just keep all the various existing names and liveries and logos (MARTA, CobbLinc, Xpress, etc), except just slap this logo also on it, then that just creates more logos and confusion and misses the entire point.

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/...opts-logo.html

The ATL was required by legislation the General Assembly passed this year creating the agency to have a logo in place by Jan. 1. However, decisions have yet to be made whether to include the new logo on MARTA buses and trains and buses operated by other transit agencies in the region, either alongside the current logos or replacing them.

However, Mark Martin, chief creative officer with Jackson Spalding, showed board members a video with mockups of what trains and buses could look like in the future, either with The ATL co-branded on them or with the new logo appearing alone.
Would like to see those mockups.

I like the styling of ATL, but I think the logo looks kind of like a snowflake, which doesn't fit a southern city. Has almost a Canadian vibe, with the red and white.

Also that shade of blue is kinda terrible.

The logo with the white background looks much better than with that ugly blue background. Gah, I hope somebody realizes that and ditches that blue background.

Agree MARTA logo>ATL logo. Has 0 representation of Atlanta.
