Has anyone heard anything about the Lion King show at the Atlanta Civic Center? I'm thinking about taking my wife for our anniversary in April.

thanks.

Sorry guys- I guess I wasn't clear enough with my question. Has anyone seen the show, and do you recommend it?

Yes-- absolutely -- if you can get good seats.

It is fabulous -- I thought. Does your wife like musicals? (my husband doesn't) If not, then it may not be her cup of tea, so to speak.

I saw it at the Civic Center with my wife a few years ago. Not my bag, but it's a very impressive spectacle and probably worth seeing just for the experience -- the stagecraft is fascinating. My wife's a musical nut, and a Disney nut, so she loved it -- she's taking a couple of minivans full of friends and relations to one of the shows in April (I got disinvited when a neighbor wanted to go also, over no objection from me).

I too saw it many years ago when it was at the Civic Center. It was a majestic show and the costumes deserved winning an award. The Civic Center is a very ugly building in my opinion - but the show was worth seeing. I have been debating on seeing it again.
