However, only those of us with lightning reflexes and years of tactical training have much chance of using them effectively. You need the capacity to remain cool, calm and collected under all circumstances, including a home invasion, and frankly most people don't have it.
Oh ok, that's good to know. I agree with what you said. In Alaska, our dogs were barking and there was a man trying to break in one of the side doors and was also carrying a big knife. We held the gun with a laser dot on him and he instantly ran away. I can only imagine what would have happened if we weren't woken up by our dogs or if we didn't have a firearm.

Yeah, I was trying to be funny...seems like it's calmed down a bit.

Fits the national pattern. Violent crime is up. Property crimes are down.

Nicer cars around there I guess.

Then again, Zone 6 appears to be gentrifying so that could shift the car thefts.

I guess you also have to factor in the nature of Zone 2 -- very dense along the major corridors, with tons of retail and highrise residential and commercial development. Lots of out of towners at places like Phipps, Lenox and Buckhead village.

That's prime pickings for car thieves.

Zone 2 may have increased its boundaries as well.

Yes, from APD.

Zone 2 did expand. I noticed a Zone 2 mini precinct at the new fire station on Hollywood Rd., and that area used to be Zone 1. Also have seen squad cars with the 2 on them as far down Hollywood as St. Paul and Gun Club Rd. Not sure when they changed the boundary lines though. Zone 2 used to stop at Marietta Blvd/Bolton

😂 lol

Like the tactical home defense back in sept in Gwinnett when that lady was chasing and shooting at the 3 armed intruders? Those were mad skills!

I'm just curious because I moved from San Francisco, where it's very difficult to own a gun and even if I had a gun, I'd never use it unless half my body was missing because I'd likely be charged with murder vs now I live in Orlando where it is easy to own a gun and if I ever felt threatened in my home from intruders, I could with pretty good confidence know the law will protect me in my self defense.
Man if you're from California you'll feel like you're a general in the armed forces when it comes to the difference in being able to get guns in California and in Georgia lol. Here all you need to be is 18+ with no felonies to get a shotgun or a rifle and 21+ with no felonies to get a pistol. Takes like 20 minutes in the store to get a background check done. I've been carrying since I was 21 and have a FN 5-7, an SKS, a pistol grip shotgun, a snub nose 38, a Glock 23, an M&P Shield, a bushmaster AR-15, and a Springfield XDS 45 (my carry weapon.) Just don't walk out of your house headed to the range without your rifles in a bag. (Learned this going to the range when my neighbors called the cops because a strange dude was in the parking lot with an AR-15....even though they see me every damn day.)
