I don't think anyone can be upset at this new mentality of brotherhood on display by the Atlanta Falcons. One of the major problems with male youths has been gangs. I think its wonderful that the Falcons which holds tremendous influence with the youth is imparting unity, teamwork, family, and a culture of winning. What an awesome way to reach youth both locally and nationally. This new mentality is definitely more effective than turning a city into a police state and using law to change behavior. The youth will listen to football players before any authority figure. Kudos to Dan Quinn for bringing the culture of togetherness into this city and nation through football.

Although this is good to hear, this is nothing new. The Youth Impact Program (YIP) has been going on for years and years.

Not just football; basketball, baseball, and even hockey.

Yeah, those types of mentoring programs are common for pro sports franchises across the board.
