Yeah, that's why I say if there was any choking it came from the coaching not the players.

I think that call will be Kyle's Shannahan's legacy in ATL. He tried to go outside the box and it cost him big.

I would not want to be in Falcon management right now. Arthur Blank will probably be out for blood, micromanaging to figure out what happened and why.

The guy who cost them the game - offensive coordinator Shannahan - is en route to SF.

The loss hurts but the defense played well enough to get may stops against a lethal offense. Matt Ryan had a good game. Like others mentioned, that bad playcall to knock ATL out of FG range was one that put a desperate NE in the perfect situation to change the game. ATL will gain valuable experience in this L. Hopefully this L doesn't break them. I look forward to next season though, we still have a good window open. Quinn will continue to bring his type of players in so it still looks good.

First half was super impressive! Still not sure what happened in the second half. I may have to watch it again because I cannot fathom how Atlanta lost with a 25 point lead in the 3rd Q. I kinda quit watching mid 3rd Q thinking it was in the bag for ATL.

Anyway, congrats on the great season! Certainly much better than the Bears this year!!

The thing is that super bowl appearances are extremely rare. This was absolutely devastating and I don't see how we can recover from this. I'm wondering what Mercedes bendz stadium will look like next year.

A pathetic choke job by the Falcons. They are worthy of derision, not congratulations.

The Patriots have won five Super Bowls, yet the Falcons can't win even one Super Bowl. What is wrong with that organization?

I'm glad I don't live in Georgia. It doesn't seem like a very good place to live. Only one sports championship in its entire history.

It's just sports. People in Atlanta have been living fine for many years without a championship win. You're blowing it way out of proportion.
