I would say Downtown LA is similar. Nightlife is there but you have to know where to go
I wouldnt say downtown though. It seems pretty dead if you ask me. I do know that midtown, I think its called old fourth ward, etc., but certainly not downtown. For a visitor, they likely may not know spots elsewhere as well as they may not beplaces e they want to walk to at night. This isnt just a problem Atlanta has obviously.

Lol, yes I've been, so where are the concentrated bar districts in NYC? If you disagree please list them.

Hmm...I don't.think you necessarily have to be in the know. New York City gets tons of vistors and I have not heard one complaint of people not knowing where to go at night, nor having trouble finding places to go. It is the city that never sleeps.

My kind hearted but slightly naive friend gave him a few bucks and that guy was GONE. I turned around and he had already turned the corner. On the way back to our hotel we saw some obvious traveller with luggage being led by a homeless guy to another homeless guy. We weren't sure what exactly was going on but we decided to pretend we knew the guy and led him away. In broken English he said he was looking for a friend at some police station so we led him there to make sure he was at least somewhat safe. It was obvious he had no idea where he was. On another completely different trip we parked in one of those lots across from Centennial Park and I swear we didn't even make it to the crosswalk and we were already getting panhandled.

That's one thing about Seattle. The downtown area seemed pretty similar to Atlanta and there certainly were homeless and some odd characters but we didn't get panhandled once and we were there twice as long. They also have a more concentrated bar area. It's not downtown, but it's realll close.

I wont lie, i do like hanging out in Atl..just not the distance. But there are other things I dont like. Any gsu student will tell you how their email gets blown up with all these crime reports. I do like that the parking signs are not impossible to understand. Th, e placesI usially go to have free parking, which is something unique as many other cities require you to find parking in the area. About the panhandling, one time a guy actually came into cookout to panhandle. I saw him outside and was waiting for him to leave but I guess he had less patience and came in the place. At another cookout, they had a police officer and I think a aecurity guard also walking around outside checking the perimeter. I was like man...this is some official sh**. Panhandling must pay well because it is literally everywhere I have been to in Atlanta and its like...its like ey have an app to find people who just parked or left a xlub. They are on it. Sometimes its like they appear out of.thin air like some hoodini.

So why are people against the casino? Nothing ventured nothing gained. If it proves to be a disastrr, it would get shut down. Good night

Got to laugh at this one..
If I start mentioning all the areas where there's a conglomerate of bars I won't finish..
Little Italy
SoHo
Tribeca
Along 14 st all the way from the east to the west!
East Village
West Village
Lower East Side
Hell's Kitchen
42nd street Times Square-Murray Hill
Flatiron
Chelsea
UWS

In fact most neighborhoods have a bar concentrated zones areas in NYC

Someone was nice enough to provide a much larger list than I am. I was going to say west slash east village chealsea and hell's kitchen because more confident these areas stay up late.

I think you are missing the point. The issue is having bars and entertainment clustered together downtown near the convention areas so people conventioning don't have to leave the area, and not so much "knowing where to go" because that is a advertising issue.
