Ant131531 I didn't see anything about a train around the mountain. Am I missing something? I just don't want to take them all the way out there without knowing for sure.

You're right, their web page is terrible.

From what I recall there are:

* 2 adjacent traditional slides that curve as they go down, like a regular waterslide. You go at the same time and race each other, but they diverge from each other and don't run in tandem the entire time. This is my favorite slide! You go down on a regular mat.

* 1 "black hole" type slide that is an entirely dark enclosed tube, you go down just with your body, no tube or mat.

* 1 "toilet bowl" type slide, where you just go down a big drop and then spin around a big toilet bowl until falling out a hole in the center.

* 1 wavy 'dragon's tail" slide, where you go down a straight line, interrupted by wavy bumps along the way (there may be 2 or 3 of this to make it racing style....I don't remember)

* 1 straight down "der stuka" style slide.

*1 pretty long "white water" type slide where you go down in a tube, lots of turns and drops. There may be two of these that you choose from, I don't recall exactly.

I might be missing one or two slides, this is what I remember. They also have a Ferris wheel, Tilt-A-While, kiddie play pool thing with lots of water features, decent sized wave pool, and one of those big inflatable obstacle course things that is in the lake that you have to swim out to in order to play on (and it's really fun!)

My favorite part is that I've been several times and never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for any slide. Because of that, you can easily do the entire thing in half a day instead of the full day you need at most water parks since you blow so much time waiting in line. It tends to be less crowded in the afternoons, but I don't recall if they offer discount pricing after a certain time (I think they do, but I'm not sure.) You can usually stop by a QT gas station and grab $5 off admission coupons that they generally have by the registers. Everyone I have brought has had a good time, my friends are in their 30s and 40s.

It's quite a safe little area, I never bother renting a locker, just leave my car keys and shoes on a chair by the beach and nobody bothers them. But the biggest selling point for some people is that unlike most other water parks, they have a few bar areas. So you can enjoy a bucket of beers or an icy summer adult beverage while you run around and tackle the slides. They also often have family movies at night at the wavepool where you can just float and watch. I find it to be an enjoyable water park.
The zip line course at Lake Lanier is also very fun!
