I've been to so many concerts at Chastain over the years and really can't remember all of them. Which concerts have you gone to and when?

Sinatra did a great show there. He was getting old but still belted them out.

Only show I've been to at Chastain was Flight of the Conchords last summer. Great time!

Santana
Elvis Costello and the Attractions (w/ The awful Crash Test Dummies)
Elvis Costello and not quite the attractions.
Wilco (w/ Low)
Neil Young and Crazy Horse (w/ Lucinda Williams)
Mannheim Steamroller/ASO
Drivin and Cryin
Traffic
Sinead O'Connor
Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band

Probably a few more I can't remember.

EDIT: I might have seen BB King there, too. I saw him a bunch of times in the '90s, and I think one of the times was at Chastain.

I saw Stevie Nicks for the first time at Chastain Park on Saturday, 22 September 2001. She was touring in support of her sixth studio album Trouble in Shangri-La. The opening act was California.

I saw Eric Clapton and Cream there in about 1968. Clapton had a pair of Marshall stacks and a wah-wah pedal and that was his whole rig. The rest of the band was equally minimal. They played White Room, Crossroads and Sunshine of Your Love. Hard to believe that was half a century ago.

Chastain is arguably the best venue in the city.

Very few venues in the world that can match the experience. Incredibly unique. My view is obviously incredibly bias but I have seen probably about 80 or so venues across the U.S.

Chastain is great when the audience is there to listen to music rather than to have loud conversations. Unfortunately, they've earned a reputation for the latter.
