How is this area doing? Prices going up or down? Schools, crime, shopping, amenities?

Seems like the location is great in terms of convenience.

The area is a puzzle. Such a good location being near 285, the NDH artery and intown neighborhoods but it doesn't seem to be attracting any development.

I would like to know as well if anyone else can expand on the current state of Scottdale. It appears the crime situation is improving.

Seems like it would make sense for Scottdale to become a city:

Then they could do local taxation and whatnot, improve their community in an organized way.

Also I believe the MARTA Clifton Corridor LRT project is planned to have a possible station in Scottdale at the DeKalb Farmers Market. When/if that happens, that should be good for their development and growth.

Commuter rail along the Georgia Railroad line would provide great access to Scottsdale.
