There is no doubt that Bottoms is Reed's darling.

Mary Norwood defends photo of her with anti-LGBT official — Project Q Atlanta

Well, Norwood doesn't help herself by being photographed with Karen Handel and Liz Hausmann back in August... Is it fair? Nope. However, palor-tricks are never fair. The optics are too easy to play off of in the "is she is a closeted Republican" spotlight and Norwood walked straight into this.

Yeah, this will be used against her, for sure...

No. They have not done this to Cathy Woolard.

They ignore candidates with little chance of victory.

Bingo. Plus it would be difficult to pin the Republican rap on an open lesbian.

I'd vote for Norwood over Bottoms.

It’s funny, in 2009 Norwood campaigned to the left of Mayor Reed and President Obama on Gay Marriage, but that doesn’t matter now.

That's a ridiculous attack on Norwood.

Her own daughter in law is gay and she has long had the endorsement of major GLBT groups.

The gay case for Mary Norwood as ATL mayor

I think you mean stepdaughter; I did a little double take on that one.
For her daughter-in-law to be gay, either she would have to have a son that was married to a lesbian or a daughter that was also gay. Now that would be an interesting little twist in this ongoing drama.
