Hey guys! Me again. I'm excited to be lucky enough to actually have calls to trickle in regarding landing a job in Atlanta so that's a good thing. I applied for a Field Recruiting Specialist position with Ameriprise and today they called. I have an interview Monday. Does anyone know much about the reputation of the company around Atlanta. I'll be recruiting for FA so I want to make sure that the organization I'll be representing is respectable in the community. I've done online research but I'd like to hear from real people that may have heard about or done business with them. Please advise.

Ameriprise is a huge national company (they are the former American Express Financial Advisors). I don't feel like they have a particularly positive or a negative reputation in Atlanta. They are just kind of "there". Keep in mind their advisors work on commission; some people are always leary of salespeople.
Good luck on your interview. Is it a commission-based position?

I'm not sure but I don't think so. I won't actually be an advisor. I'll be hiring advisors. I was asking because I was wondering if people around there are weary of working for them. I don't want to take a job hiring for a company that noone wants to work for....Thanks for your reply. This is my second job in Atlanta that looks promising and I've been iffy about both.

Default interview with Ameriprise

I am not sure, I have an interview with them Tuesday 15th for a Financial Advisor position. I am hoping this position is not all commission. Can anyone tell me what their FA's do?
