The chemical spill was a complete accident I'm 99.9% sure. I-20 and I-85 I don't know about. Seems odd that two major interstates would go down in a relatively short period of time with no warning. If anything is going on my only explanation would be (and hopefully) to open Atlanta up to accepting new means of transportation, possibly alternative highways, rails, ect...to further the growth of this city.

We have been at a stalemate for a long time regarding the transit in this city.

Honestly, I feel that all the incentives with GDOT has made the contractors perform quicky and poorly.

I was looking at the pictures of I20 and actually got kind of worried about my trip there in the next few weeks to check on my house. I'm hoping 75 doesn't crumble right before I get there lol.

Contractor crew filling up an old Atlanta Gas Light pipe with concrete, created too much pressure.

Worth repeating. In particular, a potential MARTA rail spur near East Lake.

I worked in project management in GA and know a lot of people involved in construction there with GDOT along with in my home state of Ohio which also uses incentives at times for road projects. Part of my job was to interview workers and many workers in both states told me that they cut corners to get those jobs done quickly. Some also have said they used inferior products, like a lesser quality concrete in order to pocket more money.
